Prior to working for the KTP Centre I spent almost 20 years working for Jacobs Engineering where I was part of the Dams and Reservoirs Team working on the Scottish Water Framework. As Project Controller my main aim was to support the Project and Framework Managers in ensuring that financial practices were adhered to, and to maintain discipline in undertaking regular project reviews with the aim of achieving well managed projects.
In my current role as Project Coordinator in the KTP Centre I head up the post award team in supporting and managing a large portfolio of projects and ensuring a high quality post award service is delivered to all stakeholders. My main duties are to provide administrative support for Local Management Committee (LMC) meetings, preparation of financial reports and supporting the project teams through the recruitment process for their KTP Associate. This position involves regular communication with senior business contacts and senior academic staff as well as various departments and services within our partner institutions. My favourite part of the job is meeting and inducting new KTP Associates and watching them progress in their projects and careers.
Outside of work I am a mum to a teenage daughter and son who both keep me very busy. My daughter has inherited my love for food and we love eating out and trying new foods. My son is football obsessed and as a family we all enjoy watching football together. The photo was taken on our favourite holiday to Australia, the view is from Natures Window set in Kalbarri National Park, 6 hours north of Perth.
